Bonito Oriental

Bonito Oriental is a municipality in the Honduran department of Colón. The town of Bonito Oriental is the primary location of the novel The Mosquito Coast by Paul Theroux. While Theroux's book describes the town as being very remote and difficult to get to, it was actually located about one mile from a main paved highway at the time he wrote the book.

Chapagua

Chapagua is a Honduran village of more than 700 inhabitants, located the banks of the Chapagua River in the department of Colón. The village is roughly half way between Trujillo and Tocoa as one travels along the main highway. To reach Chapagua, one exits the highway at Aguas Amarillas and travels east along the pea gravel road for about four miles. The village consists of a grade school, a soccer field, two churches, several pulperias (micro stores), and scores of residences.

Aguán River

The Aguán River (also commonly known by its Spanish name, Rio Aguán) is a river in Honduras. It rises in the Yoro region to the west of San Lorenzo and briefly runs south before turning East-North-East, passing San Lorenzo, Olanchito and Tocoa before entering the Caribbean Sea east of Puerto Castilla. The river is 240 kilometres in length. In 1998 Hurricane Mitch caused to the river to burst its banks at several points along its length.

Estadio Jorge Leonidas García

Estadio Jorge Leonidas García is a football stadium in Trujillo, Honduras. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Unión Ájax. The stadium holds 4,000 people.
