Kolleru Lake

Kolleru Lake is a 2nd largest freshwater lake located in Andhra Pradesh state, India. Kolleru is located between Krishna and Godavari delta. Kolleru spans into two districts - Krishna and West Godavari. The lake serves as a natural flood-balancing reservoir for these two rivers. The lake is fed directly by water from the seasonal Budameru and Tammileru streams, and is connected to the Krishna and Godavari systems by over 68 in-flowing drains and channels.

Cherukumilli is a small village in Kruthivennu mandal, Krishna District, India. It has a population of approximately 1000. The majority of the population (approximately 90%) are farmers and the main occupation of the people there is agriculture. The sarpanch of our village is Pattapu Prasad garu. It is panchayati and surrounding uppuluru also comes under this Panchayati. Cherukumilli is politically conscious village. It has MPTC and ZPTC (for entire mandal) seved during the tenure 2006-2011.

Eluru

Eluru is a city and a municipal corporation in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India. It is the headquarters of West Godavari district and has the population of 214,414 according to the Census 2011. Eluru is situated on the national highway NH 5 connecting Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam and about 333 kilometres east of state capital, Hyderabad. Eluru was earlier called Helapuri and has a rich cultural and political history. It was believed to have been the capital of Vishnukundinas at one time.
