Banau

Banau is a village development committee in Parbat District in the Dhawalagiri Zone of central Nepal. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 1432 people living in 251 individual households. It is inhabited by Pun Magars. It is known for its export of potato products to the neighboring villages of Baglung and Myadgi, and throughout the Parbat District. There are also undiscovered caves and medicinal herbs in the area. It has a view of the Tricity of Baglung, Beni and Kushma.
