Chitradurga

Chitradurga is a town in the southern part of the Indian state of Karnataka. It is also the headquarters of Chitradurga district. Chitradurga was also known by the names Chitradurg, Chitrakaladurga, Chittaldurg. Chittaldrug was the name officially used by the British Govt.

Talya

Talya is a village (hobli) in the Holalkere taluk near Chitradurga district, Karnataka State, India. The main attraction is an old temple of Lord Hanuman. According to historical sources, this is a very old temple that has the entire story of Ramayana carved near the tail portion of the Lord Hanuman's idol. In modern times, lunch homes and marriage halls have been built to conduct religious ceremonies.
