Kushalanagara

Kushalanagara is a town located in the east of Kodagu district, near the Kaveri river, in the state of Karnataka, India. In pre-Independence times, it was known as Fraserpet after Colonel Fraser who was the Political Agent in Coorg around 1834. The town is located on Mangalore -Mysore state highway 88. R. Gundu Rao, former Chief Minister of Karnataka state, India, hails from this town.

Nisargadhama

Kaveri Nisargadhama is an island formed by river Kaveri and is used as a picnic spot near Kushalnagar in the district of Kodagu in Karnataka. It is approximately 3 km from Kushalanagara, off the State Highway and 30 km from Madikeri and 95 km from Mysore. It is a holiday destination in Karnataka. It is a 64-acre island, with lush foliage of thick bamboo groves, sandalwood and teak trees and surrounded by the Kaveri river. The island is accessible through a hanging rope bridge.

Namdroling Monastery

The Namdroling Nyingmapa Monastery (or Thekchog Namdrol Shedrub Dargye Ling) is the largest teaching center of Nyingmapa – a lineage of Tibetan Buddhism – in the world. Located in Bylakuppe — part of the Mysore district of the state of Karnataka — the monastery is home to a sangha community of over five thousand lamas, a religious college and hospital.

Harangi Reservoir

The Harangi Reservoir is located near Hudgur village, Somwarpet taluk in Kodagu district in the Indian state of Karnataka. The reservoir is formed by a masonry dam built across the river Harangi, a tributary of the Kaveri. The dam is located about 9 km away from the heart of Kushalnagar town. Suntikoppa is situated in Kodagu, Karnataka, India. Its geographical coordinates are 12° 28' 0" North, 75° 50' 0" East.
