Magadi

Magadi is a town in Ramanagara district in the Indian state of Karnataka. Magadi was the capital of Kempe Gowda who built Bangalore. It is also the setting of the true story "Old Munnusamy and the man-eater of Magadi" by Kenneth Anderson (writer). Since the days of Kenneth Anderson, the wildlife in Magadi has been greatly reduced by poaching and habitat loss. As seen from Google Earth Satellite Imagery, this place has a tributary of the Kaveri river flowing along its side.

Thippagondanahalli Reservoir

Thippagondanahalli Reservoir, also known as T G Halli Dam or Chamarajsagar, is located at the confluence of the Arkavathy River and Kumudavathi River, 35 km west of Bangalore, India. It is used by the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) as a major source of drinking water for western Bangalore. The lake is a man-made reservoir, created by the building of a dam which was inaugurated in 1933. Bharath Rathna Sir M Visvesvaraya supervised the construction work.

Savandurga

Savandurga is a hill 60 km west of Bangalore off the Magadi road {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:12.919654|N|77.292881|E|region:IN_type:landmark|||| | |name= }}, in India. The hill is considered to be among the largest monolith hills in Asia. The hill rises to 1226 m above mean sea level and forms a part of the Deccan plateau. It consists of peninsular gneiss, granites, basic dykes and laterites.
