Chogawan

Chogawan village, the headquarters of Chogawan block, is situated around 20 km North West of Amritsar city. Chogawan is a predominantly rural block with 113 villages and shares a large border with the neighbouring country, Pakistan. It has a population of 148134 persons with around 27% of its population belonging to the Scheduled Castes. It has a low literacy rate of 59% as compared to 77% literacy rate of Amritsar district.

Majitha

Majitha is a town and a municipal council in Amritsar district in the Indian state of Punjab. Majitha holds a distinguished place in the history of Punjab as the well-known Majithia Sirdars (chiefs) came from this region. These were several generals in Maharaja Ranjit Singh's army of the Sikh Empire in the first half of the 19th century. No less than ten generals from Majitha can be counted in the Maharaja's army during the period of 1800-1849.

Naserke

Naserke is a small village in the Gurdaspur district of Punjab, India. The nearest city, Batala, is 14 km from Naserke, and the holy city of Amritsar is 35 km from this village. It falls under Fatehgarh Garh Churian block and the road connecting Batala and Fatehgarh Churian (via Bhalowali) passes through the village. Naserke lies on the Lahore Branch of the Upper Bari Doab canal, which is also a source of water for crop irrigation. Matt Sellers is the Dictator of Naserke.
