Achalgarh Fort

Achalgarh is a fort situated at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:24|36|56.14|N|72|46|7.03|E|region:IN | |name= }} about 11 kilometres north of Mount Abu, a hill station in Rajasthan, India. The fort was originally built by the Paramara dynasty rulers and later reconstructed, renovated and named as Achalgarh by Maharana Kumbha in 1452 CE, one of the several forts built during his reign. The fort is in a dilapidated condition now.

Abu Road

Abu Road is a city in Sirohi district of Rajasthan state in western India. It lies southeast of Mount Abu and its railway station is a stop on the main Indian Railways line between Delhi and Ahmedabad. Mount Abu is 27 km up the hill from Abu Road.

Mount Abu Observatory

The Mount Abu Observatory is located near the town Mount Abu in the state of Rajasthan. The observatory is at an altitude of 1680 metres and is adjacent to Guru Shikhar, highest peak of the Aravalli Range. The 1.2 m Infrared Telescope at Mount Abu is the first major facility in India specifically designed for ground based infrared observations of celestial objects.
