Thiruvarur

Thiruvarur /θɪrʊvɑːruːr/ also spelt as Tiruvarur is a town and municipality in Tiruvarur district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is the administrative headquarters of Tiruvarur district. Sepia thurstoni

Sepia thurstoni is a species of cuttlefish native to the Indian Ocean, specifically the waters off Chennai in India and off Negombo and Hambantota in Sri Lanka. It lives at depths of 20 to 40 m. S. thurstoni grows to a mantle length of 110 mm. The type specimen was collected off Ramesvaram Island in the Bay of Bengal and is deposited at The Natural History Museum in London. It is named after Edgar Thurston.

Pamban

Pamban is a town in the Rameswaram taluk of Ramanathapuram district, Tamil Nadu. It is located at the western edge of Pamban Island and is a popular fishing port. The town gives its name to the whole island. Pamban railway station is the first station on the island for pilgrims travelling to Rameswaram.
