Saint Stepanos Monastery

The St. Stepanos Monastery (Armenian: Սուրբ Ստեփանոս վանք; Maghardavank Մաղարդավանք) is an Armenian monastery about 15 km northwest of Jolfa city, East Azarbaijan Province northeast Iran. It is situated in a deep canyon along the Arax river on the Iranian side of the border between Azerbaijan and Iran. It was built in the 9th century and rebuilt in the Safavid era after several earthquakes damaged it.

Yusif ibn Kuseyir Mausoleum

The Mausoleum of Yusif ibn Kuseyir was built in 1161–1162, in Nakchivan city. Architect of the mausoleum was Ajami ibn Abubakr Nakhchivani. This small octagonal building was constructed from baked brick and finished with a pyramid shaped roof. There is a large line with ligature written in kufi script from Quran on the top of the mausoleum. The western edge of the mausoleum slightly differs.
