Carriganimmy

Carriganima or Carriganimmy (Irish: Carraig an Ime) is a village in the Barony of Muskerry, County Cork, Ireland, situated approximately 19 km north of Macroom and 10 km south of Millstreet on the R582. The village lies in a valley between the Boggeragh and Derrynasaggart mountain ranges. Local Townlands include Carriganima (Carraig an Ime), and Glantane East & West (Gleanntán).

Clondrohid

Clondrohid is a small village in County Cork, Ireland, four miles (6 km) north of Macroom. Population is estimated as 900 people living in the parish. The name of the village means 'the meadow of the bridges'. The name comes from the milling chaff blowing across the bridge onto the meadow across. Local amenities include Clondrohid National School and community hall and a number of shops, pubs and services.

Glantane East

Glantane East is a megalithic complex situated 6.4 kilometres from Millstreet, County Cork, Ireland. It is set in the Keel River valley on the north-west upper slopes of Musherabeg mountain, in the townland of Glantane. The complex includes a wedge tomb, two stone circles and a pair of stone alignments. The wedge tomb is known locally as "The Flags" and is 90 centimetres in height, with a capstone 2.4 metres square resting on two sidestones and a backstone.

Knocknakilla

The Knocknakilla megalithic complex that lies between Macroom and Millstreet, in County Cork, Ireland. It is set in blanket peatland on the north-west upper slopes of Musherabeg mountain and is thought to be 3500 years old. The area is rich with archaeological artifacts, and nearby are two cashels, a ringfort, two fulacht fiadh, a possible souterrain and a circular enclosure. The complex is best known for its large phallic and now leaning portal stone.

Mullaghanish

Mullaghanish (Irish: Mullach an Ois) is a mountain located just northeast of Ballyvourney in County Cork, Ireland. It is home to one of RTÉ's main transmitters, as well as some other mobile phone and independent radio stations. Television and radio services are broadcast from this site to serve the southwest of Ireland, namely counties Cork, Kerry and Limerick. It is operated by RTÉ NL a wholly owned subsidiary of RTÉ.
