River Ferta

The River Ferta or Fertha is a river in County Kerry in Ireland. It flows from the southwestern Macgillicuddy Reeks above Teeromoyle and travels ten miles before flowing into Valentia Harbour. The principal town in the region, Cahersiveen, is located close to the mouth of the river. There are two crossings at Cahersiveen: an old railway bridge and a single carriageway used by cars. The town also has an artificial marina built in the early 2000s.

Knocknadobar

Knocknadobar (Irish: Cnoc na dTobar, meaning "mountain of the wells") is one of the main mountains of the Iveragh Peninsula in County Kerry, Ireland. It lies northeast of Cahersiveen, just north of the N70 road, on the coast of Dingle Bay. It is 690 m in height. Its name means "mountain of the wells" and is thought to refer to the four small lakes on its slopes. Knocknadobar is famous for its "stations of the cross" on the path to the summit and an altar at the top where mass is said yearly.

Dromid Pearses GAA

Dromid Pearses is a Gaelic Athletic Association club from Dromid Parish, South Kerry in County Kerry. South Kerry are a Gaelic football Divisional Team in County Kerry. The South Kerry Team draws its players from seven Club teams in the Division. South Kerry has won 9 Kerry Senior Football Championships, most recently beating Dr. Crokes in November 2009. Dromid Pearses was originally founded in 1946 by Sean Hard Curran.

Bentee

Bentee or Benatee (from Irish: Binn an Tí, meaning "peak of the house") is a hill overlooking the town of Cahersiveen in County Kerry, Ireland. The hill has a height of 543 metres, providing good views of the surrounding area, Valentia Island, the Skellig Islands, the Dingle Peninsula and Macgillycuddy's Reeks. In recent years the Bentee Loop walking trail has been created. The main paths are over farmland, with the permission of the owners.
