Kerry Head

Kerry Head is a headland located in County Kerry, Ireland that stretches into the Atlantic Ocean just north of Banna Strand. On the southern edge of the headland sits Ballyheigue. Kerry Head separates the Shannon Estuary, on the North side, from Tralee Bay on the South side. Dolphin-watching is possible from the areas around Kerry Head. The headland is also one of the points marking the extent of Shannon Foynes Port, the port on the estuary.

Ballyheigue GAA

Ballyheigue GAA is a hurling and gaelic football club in north County Kerry, Ireland. The club competes at all levels of hurling at county and North Kerry and also plays some underage football as well as competing in the county junior football league and the county novice football shield.

Banna Strand

Banna Strand, also known as Banna Beach, is situated in Tralee Bay. It is an Atlantic Ocean beach extending from Ballyheigue Beach at the Blackrock in the North to Barrow Beach at its southern edge, located in County Kerry. It is located approx 12 km (7 mi) north west of Tralee. It features sand dunes along its entire length which rise up to 12 metres (40 ft). The mountains of the Dingle Peninsula can be seen on the south west horizon.

Magharee Islands

The Magharee Islands, also known as "The Seven Hogs", are a group of uninhabited islands located off Rough Point at the northern tip of the Magharee Peninsula in County Kerry, Ireland. The Islands are part of the parish of Castlegregory are well known as excellent diving and snorkelling destinations. The Magharees Sound separates the Seven Hogs from the mainland. A monastic site comprising beehive huts and the ruins of an old church are located on Illauntannig.

Scraggane

Scraggane is a fishing port located on the Maharees peninsula near Castlegregory in County Kerry, Ireland. The main local catch consists of lobster, flat-back crab, spider crab, Atlantic crayfish, Atlantic salmon and mackerel. Scraggane is home to a fleet of about twenty fishing trawlers. Scraggane Bay is used extensively as a flatwater windsurfing venue owing to its consistent wind and its protection from the Atlantic waves.
