Doohamlet

Doohamlet, officially Doohamlat (Irish: Dúthamlacht, meaning "black burial place"), is a small village on the Castleblayney–Ballybay road in County Monaghan, Ireland. Doohamlat has its own GAA club and football grounds. It also has a small church and graveyard. There is a primary school called All Saints National School. There are three housing estates in the village: Cois Cill, Cois Carraig and Cois Locha.

Castleblayney Faugh's GAC

Castleblayney Faughs are a Gaelic Athletic Association gaelic football and hurling team from Castleblayney, County Monaghan in Ireland. They founded in November 1905 and participate in Monaghan competitions, and most notably in the Monaghan Senior Football Championship. The club holds the record for winning the most senior championship titles in Monaghan and Ireland(37).

Lough Egish

Lough Egish (Irish: Loch Éigis, meaning "lake of the learned man") is a rural area in County Monaghan, Ireland which takes its name from the local lake, Lough Egish. It is situated approximately midway between Ballybay, Castleblayney and Carrickmacross.

Castleshane, County Monaghan

Castleshane is a small village on the outskirts of Monaghan town in the north of County Monaghan in Ireland. Castleshane, or Caisléan an tSiáin in Irish, translates as the castle (or fort) of the fairies and not 'the castle of Shane' as most believe. The village is situated on the N2, the main road from Dublin to Derry and Letterkenny, and is located approximately 6 kilometres from Monaghan town and 17 kilometres from Castleblayney.
