The Karkur junction bus bombing was a suicide attack on October 21, 2002 at the Karkur junction near Wadi Ara, Israel. The attack, carried out by Islamic Jihad, killed 14 passengers and wounded 50.

Camp 1391

Camp 1391 is an Israel Defense Forces prison camp for "high-risk" prisoners in northern Israel, run by Unit 504 and less than an hour's drive from Tel Aviv. The existence of the prison was unknown to the public before 2003, and most information about it remains classified, though Israel's supreme court ordered the release of some information about the jail.

Ein Shemer Airfield

Ein Shemer Airfield is an Israeli army airport in northern Israel. Before 1948 it was operated by the British Royal Air Force as RAF Ein Shemer. Since 2002 the base houses a complete Arrow 2 Tactical Anti Ballistic Missile battery which includes around 150-200 Arrow 2 Block 4 missiles, several launchers, the Great Pine Radar (Green Pine 2 Radar) with a 1000 kilometer range and the Yellow Citron & Brown Nut elements of the system.

Hadera Stream

Hadera Stream, also known as the Nahr Mufjir, is a seasonal watercourse that flows from the highlands in the northern West Bank and empties into the Mediterranean Sea at the Israeli city of Hadera. The stream has been polluted by the Orot Rabin Power Plant. The Hadera Water Park, located between Givat Olga and the power plant, is a 750-dunam park that holds a 40-metre-wide creek banked by a 1.3-km-long promenade.
