Bormida di Spigno

The Bormida di Spigno is a river of north-west Italy. Its headwaters are in the Ligurian province of Savona above Pian dei Corsi in a transitional zone between the Alpine and Apennine mountain ranges, where its waters run as the separate “Bormidas” of Mallare and Pallare in distinct close valleys before quickly joining in a few kilometers. It joins with the Bormida (or Bormida di Millesimo) near Bistagno in the Piedmontese province of Alessandria.

Monte Beigua

Monte Beigua is a mountain in the Ligurian Apennines in Liguria, northern Italy, between the two communes of Varazze and Sassello. It is included in the eponymous Regional Park, and, at 1,287 m is the highest peak in the so-called Gruppo del Beigua including Monte Grosso (1,265 m), Monte Ermetta (1,267 m) and Bric Veciri (1,263). It has been hypothized that it was a sacred mountain to the Liguri tribe living here in pre-Roman times, together with the Mont Bégo and Monte Sagro.

Acqui Cathedral (Italian: Duomo di Acqui, Cattedrale di Santa Maria Assunta) is a Roman Catholic cathedral in the city of Acqui Terme, in the province of Alessandria and the region of Piedmont, Italy. Dedicated to the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, It is the seat of the Bishop of Acqui.

Sanctuary of Nostra Signora della Misericordia

The Sanctuary of Nostra Signora della Misericordia is a church and surrounding buildings located some six kilometers from the center of Savona, Liguria, northern Italy. It is built on the site commemorating the apparition of the Virgin Mary to the shepherd and officially blessed Antonio Botta (18 March 1536). She appeared to the shepherd during a time of war between Savona and Genoa, and had the message inviting both parties to exercise "Misericordia e non Giustizia" ("Mercy and not Justice").

Savona railway station

Savona railway station (Italian: Stazione di Savona) serves the seaport and comune of Savona, in the Liguria region, northwestern Italy. Opened in 1977, it forms part of the Genoa–Ventimiglia railway, and is situated just over one quarter of the way from Genoa towards Ventimiglia. It is also the western terminus of the Turin–Fossano–Savona railway. The station is currently managed by Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI).
