Cascata delle Marmore

The Cascata delle Marmore (Marmore's Falls) is a man-made waterfall created by the ancient Romans. Its total height is 165 m (541 feet), making it one of the tallest in Europe and the tallest man-made waterfall in the world. Of its 3 sections, the top one is the tallest, at 83 m (272 feet). It is located 7.7 km from Terni, a provincial capital of the Italian region of Umbria.

Velino

For the mountain with the same name, see Monte Velino The Velino ia a river in central Italy, an affluent of the Nera river. Its source is located on Monte Pozzoni's slopes (1,903 m) near Cittareale. Aftwards it runs through a narrow valley next the Mount Terminillo, known as "Gole del Vento" ("Wind's Ravines") and, near Antrodoco, receives the Peschiera Springs, which have a discharge of some 60 m³/s (some is sent to Rome) through an aqueduct.

Terni railway station

Terni railway station (Italian: Stazione di Terni) serves the town and comune of Terni, in the region of Umbria, central Italy. Opened in 1866, it forms part of the Rome–Ancona railway, and is also a junction station for two secondary lines, the Terni–Sulmona railway and the Terni–Sansepolcro railway. The station is currently managed by Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI). However, the commercial area of the passenger building is managed by Centostazioni.

Roman Catholic Diocese of Terni-Narni-Amelia

The diocese of Terni-Narni-Amelia is a Roman Catholic ecclesiastical territory in Umbria, central Italy. It was created in 1983, when the diocese of Amelia was united to the diocese of Terni e Narni. The latter had been in turn created in 1907, when the diocese of Narni was united to the historical diocese of Terni. The diocese is immediately subject to the Holy See.

Province of Terni

The Province of Terni (Italian: Provincia di Terni) is the smaller of the two provinces in the Umbria region of Italy, comprising one-third of both the area and population of the region. Its capital is the city of Terni. The province came into being in 1927, when it was carved out of the original unitary province of Umbria. The province of Terni has an area of 2,122 km², and a total population of 219,783 (2001). There are 33 comunes (Italian: comuni in the province.
