The Orto Botanico del Monte Baldo (about 20,000 m²), also known as the Orto Botanico di Novezzina or Orto Botanico d'Europa, is a botanical garden located at 1232 meters altitude on Monte Baldo, Via General Graziani 10, Novezzina, Ferrara di Monte Baldo, Province of Verona, Veneto, Italy. It is open daily in the warmer months; an admission fee is charged. 1117 Verona earthquake

A powerful earthquake on 3 January 1117 struck northern Italy and Germany, rated a VII on the Mercalli intensity scale. The epicentre of the first shock was near Verona, the city which suffered the most damage. The outer wall of the amphitheatre was partially felled, and the standing portion was damaged in a later earthquake of 1183.

Villa Serego

Villa Serego or Villa Sarego is a Palladian villa at Santa Sofia di Pedemonte, San Pietro in Cariano in the province of Verona, northern Italy. It was built for the aristocratic Sarego family, and designed by Andrea Palladio. The villa is distinctive for its use of rusticated columns of the Ionic order.

Chievo

Chievo (4,500 inhabitants) is a frazione of Verona located to the west of the city, around 4 km from the historic city centre, on the shores of the river Adige. It is best known for its football team, A.C. ChievoVerona. The name came from the Latin "clivium mantici" which means "the hill of the magic wood". Pastoral and farming activities date back to pre-Roman Celtic settlers.
