Kajiado

Kajiado is a town in the former Rift Valley Province, Kenya. The town is located 80 kilometres south of Nairobi, along the Nairobi – Arusha highway. Kajiado has an urban population of 8128 (1999 census) Local people are predominantly of the Maasai tribe. Kajiado is headquarters to the former Kajiado District. The name "Kajiado" comes from the word "Orkejuado. " Which means "The Long River" in Maasai language. The seasonal river named after the town runs west of the town.

Isinya

Isinya is a town and one of seven administrative divisions of the Kajiado District, part of the Rift Valley Province in the southern part of Kenya. Isinya, located at -1.67 latitude, 36.85 longitude, is 100 km south of Nairobi and 15 km north of Kajiado, the capital of the district. The town of Isinya is situated along the Nairobi-Arusha highway. Isinya has a private airfield called Orly Airpark, often mistakenly thought to be named after Orly Airport in Paris.
