Shebaa farms

The Shebaa Farms are a small uninhabited territory claimed by Lebanon, but occupied by Israel. According to a BBC article, Syria agrees with Lebanon that the Shebaa farms area is part of Lebanon. Syrian policy is to vaguely accept the Lebanese claim, while refusing any binding demarcation until Israeli forces withdraw from the area. The United Nations had to decide upon a "withdrawal line" for Israel to withdraw from Lebanon. The UN certified Israel's withdrawal as conforming to that line.

2000 Hezbollah cross-border raid

In the 2000 Hezbollah cross-border raid Hezbollah militants captured three IDF soldiers; Benny Avraham, Adi Avitan and Omar Sawaid, while they were patrolling the security fence along the border with Lebanon, and took them across the border. It is not clear when or under which circumstances the three soldiers died. Their bodies were returned to Israel in a prisoner exchange on 29 January 2004.

Khiam

'Khiam' (Arabic الخيام; sometimes spelled Khiyam) is a town located in South Lebanon Governorate, near the city of Nabatieh. It is located in Southern Lebanon, 800 meters above sea level, 125 km away from Beirut and roughly four kilometers from the Israel border. The town was the scene of a major confrontation between the Israeli Army and Hezbollah fighters during the 2006 Israeli-Lebanese conflict.

Hermon nature reserve

Hermon nature reserve (שמורת חרמון) is a nature reserve located in the north of the Golan Heights, which was declared a nature reserve on December 6, 1974. The reserve includes an area in southern Mount Hermon which is located in the Israeli occupied portion of the Golan Heights. The reserve excludes the Mount Hermon ski resort, Neve Ativ and the Nimrod Fortress. The total area of the reserve is 18,842 acres (76,250 dunam).

Wazzani

Al Wazzani (Al-Quazzani), also known as Arab Louaize, is a small Lebanese village in the Hasbaya District of the Nabatieh Governorate, just north of the Israel-Lebanon border, on the banks of the Hasbani River. The village is located about 1 km from the Wazzani Spring, a major source of the Hasbani, which is a tributary of the Jordan River. The village has about 200 residents.
