Ocampo, Guanajuato

Ocampo is a city located in the northwest region of the Mexican state of Guanajuato. The municipality has an area of 1,019.49 square kilometres (3.7% of the surface of the state) and is bordered and to the south and east by San Felipe, to the north by the state of San Luis Potosí, to the west by the state of Jalisco. The municipality had a population of 20,984 inhabitants according to the 2005 census. The municipality is named after Melchor Ocampo, a 19th-century liberal statesman.

Ojuelos de Jalisco

Ojuelos de Jalisco is a colonial town and municipality in the state of Jalisco, Mexico. The town's 1990 population was 7,265, although by the year 2000 it had increased to 9,338. It sits at the junction of Mexico Highways 51, 70, and 80. The town was founded by Spanish conquistador Pedro Casillas de Avila in 1569, as a fortification to protect travelers against the Chichimecas warriors.
