Ake

Ake (or Aké in Spanish orthography) is an archaeological site of the pre-Columbian Maya civilization, located in the municipality of Tixkokob. in the Mexican state of Yucatán; 40 km (25 mi) east of Mérida, Yucatán. The name Ake is a toponym that means "place of reeds" in Yucatec Maya. One notable feature of the site is its system of pre-Columbian sacbeo'ob or roads that facilitate access with other settlements in the region. The architecture dates from the Post-Classic era (800-1000CE).

Tixkokob

Tixkokob (meaning place of poisonous snakes in Mayan) is a town in the Mexican state of Yucatán, located in the north central part of the state. It is the seat of the municipality of Tixkokob and is located about 24 miles east of the city of Mérida. As of 2005 it has a population of 10,338.

Tekantó Municipality

Tekantó is a small (47.25 km²) municipality in the Mexican state of Yucatan. The municipality was formed in 1900 and its municipal seat is the homonymous locality of Tekantó, at the end of highway 80, 54 km east of Merida.
