Ruinen

Ruinen is a village in the Dutch province of Drenthe. It is located in the municipality of De Wolden, about 10 km northwest of Hoogeveen. Ruinen was a separate municipality until 1998, when it became part of De Wolden. The windmill De Zaandplatte has been restored and is open to the public.

Uffelte is a town in the Dutch province of Drenthe. It is a part of the municipality of Westerveld, and lies about 15 km west of Hoogeveen. In 2001, the town of Uffelte had 818 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 0.30 km², and contained 338 residences. The statistical area "Uffelte", which also can include the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 1420.

Anholt, Drenthe

Anholt is a hamlet in the Dutch province of Drenthe. It is located in the municipality De Wolden, about 2 km west of Pesse, to which it belongs. According to the 19th century historian A.J. van der Aa, it had about 20 inhabitants in the middle of the 19th century, and was also called "Anhalt".
