Ee is a village in the Dongeradeel municipality of Friesland, the Netherlands. It is located east from the town of Dokkum, on the N 358 road. Ee has approximately 780 inhabitants (2004). There are various types of buildings in Ee, including a church built in 1220. The only flax working museum of the Netherlands is also located in Ee. Ee has mostly remained an intact rural village. Ee has the shortest place name in all of the Netherlands.

Aalsum, Friesland

Aalsum is a small village counting some 162 inhabitants (January 2004) about 1 km north of Dokkum in Dongeradeel, Netherlands. Aalsum is built on a partially excavated terp, around a church originally dedicated to St. Catherine of Alexandria, which dates back to approximately 1200 AD. Aalsum had a station (Dokkum-Aalsum) on the North Friesland Railway, which opened in 1901, It became the terminus for passenger services in May 1935 and closed to passengers in July 1936.

Wâlterswâld is a village in Dantumadiel municipality, Friesland, Netherlands. The village has approximately 1,100 residents (2005). The "twin village" of Wâlterswâld is Driezum. Wâlterswâld shares associations and churches with Driezum. The joint town centre, "De Nije Warf," is located in Wâlterswâld.
