The Little Hohonu River is a river of New Zealand's West Coast Region. It flows northwest from its origins in the Hohonu Range southwest of Lake Brunner, reaching the Big Hohonu River 20 kilometres southeast of Greymouth.

Kumara, New Zealand

Kumara is a town on the West Coast of the South Island of New Zealand. It is located 30 kilometres (19 miles) south of Greymouth, close to the western end of State Highway 73, which leads across Arthur's Pass to Christchurch. The Taramakau River flows past to the north. The population was 318 in the 2006 Census, a decrease of 6 from 2001. The name may come from the Māori language Kohe mara, which is the blossom of the tātarāmoa, or bush lawyer.

The West Coast (Māori: 'Te Tai Poutini') is one of the administrative regions of New Zealand, located on the west coast of the South Island, and is one of the more remote and most sparsely populated areas of the country. It is made up of three districts: Buller, Grey and Westland. The principal towns are Westport, Greymouth and Hokitika.
