Somotillo

Somotillo is a municipality in the Chinandega department of Nicaragua. According to the Instituto Nicaragüense de Estudios Territoriales (INETER), the municipality of Somotillo measures 724.71 km² and lies approximately 41 meters above sea level. Physiographically, most of the municipality lies north and east of the Nicaraguan Depression or Graben in the western foothills of the central cordillera of the country. The area drains into the Pacific, largely through the Estero Real.

San Juan de Limay

San Juan de Limay is a municipality in the Estelí department of Nicaragua. It is famous for its artisan production of soapstone (marmolina) sculptures. San Juan de Limay is located 195 km north of Managua in the north of Nicaragua only a short distance from the border of Honduras. While the elevation of the town is 281 m above sea level, the mountains that surround the valley where Limay is located, rise as high as 1400 m.
