Sandve is a village in Karmøy municipality, Norway. It is located north of the town of Skudeneshavn and faces the Atlantic Ocean to the west. During World War II, Wehrmacht bombed this settlement because of connections to the Allied forces.

Ferkingstad

Ferkingstad is a village in the county of Rogaland, Norway within the municipality of Karmøy. It is known for its highly rich archeology finds, from the early Viking period to the late medieval era. Legend claims that King Ferking is supposed to have founded the village and lived at Ferkingstad, where he had built large houses of stones. Ferkingstad is known for the remains of the large boat houses dating from the Iron Age which were reportedly erected by King Ferking.

Skudeneshavn

(also known as Skudeneshamn or Skudenes, the name of the parish in which it is located) is a village on the southernmost tip of the island of Karmøy in Norway. It is part of the traditional district of Haugaland. It has 5,000 inhabitants and is part of the municipality of Karmøy in the county of Rogaland. Skudeneshavn is one of the smaller towns in Norway; Kolvereid with 1,470 inhabitants is the smallest.

Geitungen Lighthouse

Geitungen Lighthouse is a coastal lighthouse in the municipality of Karmøy in Rogaland, Norway. It was established in 1924, and automated in 1994. It was listed as a protected site in 1998.

USS Zeppelin (1914)

USS Zeppelin was a passenger liner launched in 1914 as SS Zeppelin by Bremer Vulkan, Bremen-Vegesack, Germany, for Norddeutscher Lloyd (NDL). Due to the First World War she never entered NDL service. She had a career after the war first under White Star Line control, then briefly as the troop ship USS Zeppelin, next as the Orient SN Co liner SS Ormuz and finally back with NDL as SS Dresden.
