Zakliczyn

Zakliczyn is a town in Tarnów County, Lesser Poland Voivodeship, Poland, with 1,558 inhabitants (2006). Zakliczyn, which lies on the right bank of the Dunajec river, had town rights from 1557 to 1934, and regained them on January 1, 2006. It lies in the valley of the Dunajec, surrounded by wooded hills of 300 to 500 meters above sea level. Zakliczyn has a town hall, located in a spacious market square, one of the largest in the province (100 meters by 170 meters).
