(It was previously in Nowy Sącz Voivodeship from 1975-1998. ) It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Kościelisko. Villa Atma
The Villa Atma in Zakopane, Poland, is a historic chalet housing the Karol Szymanowski Museum, department of the National Museum in Kraków. It was built in late-19th-century as a guest house in a popular Zakopane Style and expanded in 1926 to include seven rooms. The name 'Atma' (added in the 1920s), is derived form the Sanskrit word for 'soul'. The house was rented by Szymanowski for six years between 1930 and 1936 as his main residence before his death in 1937.
