Fonte de Aldeia

Fonte de Aldeia is a parish in the municipality of Miranda do Douro, Portugal, which is located 15 kilometres south of Miranda do Douro proper, directly on the Spanish-Portuguese border. The village presumably dates back to a Roman fort that existed on Mount Trinidad and of which there are almost no traces left. Fonte de Aldeia was first recorded in the Torre do Tombo register in 1528.

Arribes del Duero Natural Park

Arribes del Duero Natural Park is a protected area in western Spain, covering 106.105 ha in the autonomous community of Castile and León. In this area the river Duero forms the national boundary between Spain and Portugal, and the Portugal side is also protected under the figure of International Douro Natural Park. The most notable characteristics of this natural space are its biodiversity and range of watercourses, which have eroded deep valleys and vertiginous precipices.

Fermoselle

Fermoselle is a small medieval village located in the province of Zamora, western Spain, part of the region of Castile & Leon. This beautifully preserved and historic medieval village is located in the southwest region of the province and presently has a population of under 1500 inhabitants. The village of Fermoselle, which dates back more than 2,000 years to pre-Roman times, has been miraculously preserved throughout the ages.

Tormes

The Tormes is a Spanish river, that starts in the Prado Tormejón, the Mountain range of Gredos, Navarredonda de Gredos, province of Ávila. It crosses the provinces of Avila and Salamanca, ending at the Duero river, the municipal term of Villarino of Airs (Salamanca), at the zone denominated locally as Ambasaguas, after 284 km in length.
