Almeida Garrett Library

Almeida Garrett Library (Portuguese: Biblioteca Almeida Garrett) is a library in Porto, Portugal. It is located at 328 Rua Entrequintas near the gardens of Palácio de Cristal. The library was inaugurated on April 2, 2001 and is directed by Maria João Sampaio. It is named after the writer Almeida Garrett (1799–1854) who was born in Porto.

Massarelos

Massarelos is a Portuguese parish, located in the municipality of Porto. It has a population of 7,756 inhabitants and a total area of 1.94 km². The municipality includes parts of the city's old downtown, classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Other landmarks include Porto's main Custom House, Rosa Mota sports hall, Porto's major fish market and the Campo Alegre neighborhood, where a theatre and several buildings of the University of Porto are located.

Pavilhão Rosa Mota

Pavilhão Rosa Mota is an arena in Porto, Portugal. Pavilhão Rosa Mota opened in 1954 and holds 5,400 people. The pavilion was previously known as Pavilhão dos Desportos but in 1991 it was renamed after Rosa Mota, a Portuguese European, World and Olympic champion in marathon running. It is primarily used for basketball.

Arrábida Bridge

The Arrábida Bridge is an arch bridge over the Douro River that connects Porto to Vila Nova de Gaia, in Portugal. It is the most downstream bridge across the Douro River, just a few kilometers from the Atlantic Ocean. At the time of its construction in 1963, the bridge had the largest concrete span of any bridge in the world. The total length of the tray is of 615m, having a width of 27m. The arch is 52m tall and the plate rises up to 70m above water level.

National Museum Soares dos Reis

National Museum Soares dos Reis (Portuguese: Museu Nacional Soares dos Reis), located in the ancient Carrancas Palace, in Porto, Portugal, is one of the most renowned Portuguese museums. The museum Soares dos Reis, founded in 1833, is Portugal's first national museum. It displays one of the finest collections of Portuguese art, in particular a gallery of works by Portuguese sculptor António Soares dos Reis, after whom the museum is named.
