Jupiter City Shopping Center

Jupiter City Shopping Center is a large shopping center located in Pitesti city, Arges county, Romania. With a surface of 40,000 square metres (1st phase), additional 10,000 square metres (2nd phase) and 1,800 parking spaces, Jupiter City Shopping Center was the single largest retail park in Pitesti, upon its opening in 2008.

Râul Doamnei

Râul Doamnei is a left tributary of the Argeş River (the two rivers meet just north of Piteşti). It is formed at the junction of headwaters Valea Rea and Zârna River. It is 98 kilometers in length and frequently dries up in summer, owing to the works upstream that have redirected part of its water supply toward a reservoir serving the hydroelectric plant on the Argeș. Râul Doamnei flows through a hilly region, forming narrow strips of fertile plain on both of its banks.

Arpechim Refinery

Arpechim Refinery was one of the largest Romanian refineries and one of the largest in Europe, located in Piteşti, Argeş County, and had both refining and petrochemical capacities. The refinery has two processing modules with a nominal capacity of 6.5 million tonnes/year. Now only one of the two modules is operating with a capacity of 3.5 million tonnes/year or 70,000 bbl/d . The facility is connected by pipeline to the oil fields in the Oltenia Region and to the Port of Constanţa.
