Castra of Tihău

It was a fort in the Roman province of Dacia. Fortification of historical significance, Castra of Tihău was called, since the 18th century, "citadel of Tuhutum". Ruins on the plateau "Grădiște" shows that the Castra of Tihău was a Roman fort of auxiliary troop, pertaining to the northwest sector of Dacic limes. Repeated discoveries of Roman archaeological materials (pottery, tiles and bricks, arms, tools, diverse objects, tegular stamps, coins, even stone inscriptions etc.

Jibou Botanical Garden

The Jibou Botanical Garden (Romanian: Grădina Botanică a Institutului de Cercetări Biologice din Jibou), now named after its founder, Vasile Fati (1932-2007), is a botanical garden located in Jibou, Romania. The Botanical Garden is situated in the north-east side of Jibou, on the second bank of Someș River. The Botanical Garden has a surface of 25 acres and has been arranged inside the architectural ensemble at the Wesselényi residence beginning with the year 1968.

Castra of Jac

The Castra of Jac was a fort made of earth in the Roman province of Dacia. It was erected in the 2nd century AD. Not far from the fort, the remains of a previous fortification (built in the 1st century BC) and of a Roman watchtower were unearthed. The fort and the wathctower were abandoned in the 3rd century. Traces of the castra can be identified on Citera Hill in Jac.
