Lake Turgoyak

Turgoyak is a lake in Chelyabinsk Oblast, near the city of Miass, Russia. It has a surface of 2638 hectares. The water of the lake has a great transparency (from 10-17.5 m). The quality of the water is comparable to that of Lake Baikal. A megalithic monument is found on an island in the lake, as well as ruins of a monastery. The lake is a popular tourist destination with resorts and holiday camps.

Makeyev Rocket Design Bureau

The Makeyev Design Bureau (also known as Makeyev OKB) is a Russian missile design company located at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:55.112|N|60.140|E||||| | |name= }} in Miass, Russia. Opened in December 1947 as SKB-385, the company is the main designer of submarine-launched ballistic missiles (SLBM) in Russia. The organization was named in honor of Victor Makeyev. Its full official name is State Rocket Center «Academician V.P. Makeev Design Bureau».

Lake Chebarkul

Lake Chebarkul is a lake in Chebarkulsky District, Chelyabinsk Oblast, Russia, on the slopes of the southern Urals. The town of Chebarkul lies on its eastern shore, and Chelyabinsk, the administrative center of Chelyabinsk Oblast, is located about 70 kilometres to the northeast. The name of the lake, and the city of the same name, comes from Turkic and means "Beautiful, motley lake. " Mostly fed by snowmelt from mountain streams, the lake freezes in November and stays icebound until April.

Chelyabinsk meteorite

Chelyabinsk meteorite is the official name for the fragments of Chelyabinsk meteor found on the ground after it entered the atmosphere of Earth on 15 February 2013. The descent of the body, visible as a superbolide in the morning sky, left a series of shock waves that caused approximately 1,500 injuries, mainly by glass from shattered windows, and damage to over 3,000 buildings.
