Kaliningrad Devau Airport

Kaliningrad Devau Airport is located 5 km northeast of Kaliningrad. Today it is a small general aviation airfield and is also used for sports aviation. There are Antonov An-2 aircraft parked on the site. The airport opened as Königsberg Devau Airport in 1921 after the Polish corridor separated East Prussia from the main part of Germany. The main building was designed by the architect Hanns Hopp, who was the architect of several public and private buildings erected in Königsberg in the 1920s.

Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University (Russian: Балтийский федеральный университет имени Иммануила Канта) formerly known as the Immanuel Kant Russian State University (Russian: Российский государственный университет имени Иммануила Канта, Rossiyskiy gosudarstvennyy universitet imeni Immanuila Kanta), or in brief the Kant University (Russian: Университет Канта, Universitet Kanta) and as Kaliningrad State University (1967-2005), is a university in the Russian city of Kaliningrad.

Lower Pond (Kaliningrad)

The Lower Pond is a large artificial pond in northern Kaliningrad, Russia. It was known as the Schlossteich while part of Königsberg, Germany, until 1945. The pond is about one kilometre long, north to south. Along its length, its width varies between about 50 and 100 metres. The source of the water is from the north. The water eventually drains underground down to the river Pregel to the south. During the winter months, the pond can freeze over.

Königsberg Synagogue

Königsberg's New Synagogue was one of three synagogues in Königsberg in Prussia, East Prussia. The other synagogues were Old Synagogue and Adass Jisroel synagogue. The New Synagogue was destroyed in the aftermath of the Kristallnacht pogrom in 1938.
