Izhma River

Izhma is a river in the Komi Republic of Russia. It is a left tributary of the Pechora River. It is 531 km long, with a drainage basin of 31,000 km². 154 km from its mouth it has an average discharge of 203 m³/s. The river freezes over in November, and stays icebound until the spring thaw starts in May. Main tributaries are the Ukhta, Ajuva and Sebys Rivers. The Izhmas has its sources in the Timan Ridge.
