Duderhof Heights

Duderhof Heights or Duderhof Hills is a small highland area in the southwestern part of Saint Petersburg, to the south of the town of Krasnoye Selo, on the northern edge of the Izhora Plateau, which consists of several hills, most notably, the Orekhovaya hill, the highest point of Saint Petersburg at 176 m (577'), in the south, and the Voronya hill, 147 m (482'), in the north. Babolovo Palace

Babolovo or Babolovka was a dacha (myza) of Prince Potemkin in Tsarskoe Selo. It was in 1780 that Catherine II of Russia presented the grounds adjoining the Catherine Park and the Alexander Park to her then-favourite, Potemkin. A temporary wooden palace was built to house the lovers' trysts. It was rebuilt in stone to a Gothic Revival design by Ilya Neyelov between 1782 and 1785.

Pulkovo Heights

Pulkovo Heights is a chain of hills located to the south of Saint Petersburg. They run to the south-west in the direction of the Izhora Plateau and have an altitude of up to 73 meters. They were used as a natural defense line during the Russian Civil War and the Battle of Leningrad. It is the location of the Pulkovo Observatory and the industrial suburb of Shushary.
