Jamena

Jamena is a village in the region of Srem, southwestern Vojvodina, Serbia. It is situated in the municipality of Šid. Jamena has a population of 1,130 (2002 census), but it is declining. Most of the inhabitants of the village are ethnic Serbs. It is the only place in Serbia that borders Croatia and Bosnia and Hercegovina (Republika Srpska).

Soljani

Soljani are a village in Cvelferija in the southernmost part of Vukovar-Syrmia County. From the 2001 census the village had a population of 1554 inhabitants. It was first mentioned in 1329 as “Sauly, Sali posessio”, and since then the village name has been connected with the word “salt” (sol means salt in Croatian). During the Roman Empire the village was plotted on the history maps as “Saldis”, and one of the main Roman roads that lead to Sirmium went via Saldis.

Semberija

Semberija is a geographical region in north-eastern Bosnia and Herzegovina. The main city in the region is Bijeljina. Semberija is located between Drina and Sava rivers and Majevica mountain. Most of the region is situated in the entity of Republika Srpska, and the smaller part in the entity of Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Semberija has a very rich history. It was first mentioned in 1533 during the Ottoman rule. During the Austrian rule villages in Semberija were destroyed.
