Žiča

Žiča is an early 13th century Serb Orthodox monastery near Kraljevo, Serbia. The monastery, together with the Church of the Holy Dormition, was built by the first King of Serbia, Stefan the First-Crowned and the first Head of the Serbian Church, Saint Sava. Žiča was the seat of the Archbishop (1219–1253), and by tradition the coronational church of the Serbian kings, although a king could be crowned in any Serbian church, he was never considered a true king until he was anointed in Žiča.

2010 Serbia earthquake

The 2010 Serbia earthquake (also referred to as the Kraljevo earthquake) occurred on 3 November 2010 just several kilometers from Kraljevo, in central Serbia. The earthquake had magnitude of 5.3 and was felt across the country. including the capital, Belgrade, as well as in several neighboring countries. Two people were killed and over 100 suffered light injuries.

Ribnica (Kraljevo)

Ribnica is a part of town Kraljevo in Serbia. It is situated on the right side of the river Ibar and on the left side of the river Ribnica just near its confluence with the river Ibar. The population of Ribnica was 2,779 people in 2002. (2002 census), but today that number is larger, due to constant migration from Kosovo and from rural parts of municipality to city.
