Wonju is the most populous city in Gangwon province, South Korea. Wonju is a city approximately 90 miles east of Seoul and the capital can be reached within 1hr 30minutes by bus or train. Wonju is home to three major universities (one of them Sangji University, known for it's Tourism and Korean Medicine departments) which attract many students from Seoul and elsewhere.
