La Felguera

La Felguera is the largest parish in the municipality of Langreo, Asturias, in the north of Spain, with 21.000 inhabitants. It is the fifth largest town in Asturias, after Gijón, Oviedo, Avilés and Mieres. It is at 18 minutes by car to Oviedo, the capital of Asturias. La Felguera is close to the Nalón River. In the past, it was one of the most important metallurgical centers in Spain (19th and the first half the 20th century), located inside the mining basin of Asturias.

Tiñana

In Māori tradition, Tinana (also known as Te Mamaru) was one of the great ocean-going, voyaging canoes that was used in the migrations that settled New Zealand. The Tinana canoe, later renamed Te Māmaru, is particularly important for the Muriwhenua tribes of Te Rarawa and Ngāti Kahu. The Tinana, captained by Tūmoana, landed at Tauroa Point near present-day Ahipara. The canoe later returned to Hawaiki where Tūmoana’s nephew, Te Parata, renamed it Te Māmaru.
