1970 Dan-Air de Havilland Comet crash

The 1970 Dan-Air de Havilland Comet airplane crash was a fatal accident involving a de Havilland DH 106 Comet series 4 jet aircraft operated by Dan Air Services Limited on a non-scheduled international passenger service from Manchester to Barcelona. British tour operator Clarksons Holidays had contracted the aircraft to carry a group of holidaymakers who had booked an all-inclusive package holiday with it.

Tordera (river)

The river Tordera is a river of Catalonia. The river is 55 km long and has its source at Montseny massif, and its mouth in the Mediterranean Sea, and an average discharge of 5.01 m³/s. Its main tributaries are the Riera de Gualba, Riera de Arbúcies, Riera de Santa Coloma and the Riera de Valmanya and it runs through the Parc Natural del Montseny and the Parc Natural del Montnegre i el Corredor.

Riells

Riells is a town in L'Escala, Catalonia between Montgó and El Poble Sec. It is the biggest town in l'Escala. The name '"Riells'" is derived from the four streams that go underground. In the 1960s, Riells was little more than a wood with a lake between Montgó, itself much smaller than it is today, and el Poble Sec. Housing construction began in the 1970s. In the 1990s–2000s, street paving began.
