Gotlands infanteriregemente

Gotlands infanteriregemente (Gotland Infantry Regiment), designations I 27 and I 18, was a Swedish Army infantry regiment that traced its origins back to the 19th century. It was reorganized into an armoured regiment in 1963. The regiment's soldiers were originally recruited on the island of Gotland, and it was later garrisoned there.

Gotlands artillery regement, A 7, was a Swedish artillery regiment that was in active service between 1811 and 2000. The regiment was based in Visby to the Gotland Garrison.

Solberga Abbey

Solberga Abbey, was a Cistercian nunnery in Sweden, in operation from 1246 until at least 1469. It was located outside Visby on Gotland until 1404, and then in Visby. It was the only nunnery ot the island of Gotland. Solberga Abbey was likely a daughter convent of Vreta Abbey. On 12 August 1246, Bishop Laurentius of Linköping mentions that the first nuns had been sent to Gotland, were Solberga was the only nunnery on the island.

Gutavallen

Gutavallen is an outdoor sport stadium located in Visby, Sweden. It was built in 1929 and is used for football as well as athletics, but occasionally the arena is also used for concerts. Gutavallen is the home arena of FC Gute and Visby AIK. The stadium has two stands—one on each long side—with the main stand seating 550 spectators. The original main stand was burned down in 1998, but was quickly rebuilt the following year.
