Laponian area

The Laponian area is a large mountainous wildlife area in the Lapland province in Northern Sweden, more precisely in the Gällivare Municipality, Arjeplog Municipality and Jokkmokk Municipality. It was made a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996; the bulk of it had enjoyed protected status since the early 20th century.

Rapa River

The Rapa River is a tributary of the Lesser Lule River in north Norrland, in Norrbotten County, Sweden. The river stretches 75 km from its source to the mouth of Lake Tjaktjajaure (477 amsl). At the mouth of Lake Laitaure (Laidaure), slightly higher up, the Rapa River forms the Laitaure Delta. The river flows through the Rapa Valley, finally joining the Lule River.

Sarek National Park

Sarek National Park is a national park in Jokkmokk Municipality, in the province Lapland in northern Sweden. Sarek borders the national parks Stora Sjöfallet and Padjelanta. The national park is popular with hikers and mountaineers, but not suitable for beginners. The national park is roughly circular with an average diameter of about 50 kilometres . The park has no marked trails, no accommodations, and only two bridges.

Rapa Valley

The Rapa Valley is a 35 km long valley in Sweden and the largest in the Sarek National Park, part of the Laponian area. Áhkká

Áhkká, also known in its "Swedified" form Akka, is a massif in the southwestern corner of Stora Sjöfallet National Park in northern Sweden. The massif has eleven individual peaks and several glaciers, of which Stortoppen is the highest at 2,016 metres (6,614 ft). This peak is the eighth highest in Sweden.
