Östergötland archipelago

The Östergötland archipelago is the collective name of three archipelagoes located to the east of the shore of Östergötland, Sweden, spanning three municipalities. It consists of 8,888 islands. It measures more than 60 kilometers from north to south and five kilometers west to east. The archipelago's northern end adjoins the bay of Bråviken and is centered around Arkösund, off the Vikbolandet peninsula and forms part of Norrköping Municipality.

Fyrudden

Fyrudden is a coastal locality in Valdemarsvik Municipality, Östergötland County, Sweden, located at the extreme southeastern end of a narrow peninsula. The name literally means "the lighthouse point". County road 212 from Valdemarsvik passes by Gryt to terminate at Fyrudden, and the large north-south waterway of Östergötland archipelago passes nearby. Fyrudden is thus easily accessible from sea and from land it has become a popular guest harbor.

Capella Ecumenica

Capella Ecumenica Sanctæ Annæ in scopulis is a chapel in the archipelago of S:t Anna, in the province of Östergötland in Sweden. The chapel on Västra Gärsholmen is the work of Hilding Bielkhammar, born in the parish of St Anna. As an 18 year old boy he visited Stockholm 1925 to attend the big Ecumenical meeting, which was led by at that time archbishop Nathan Söderblom. At the meeting Hilding Bielkhammar heard the Lords Prayer being held in over 50 languages.

Arkösund

Arkösund is a small village on the Swedish East Coast, on Vikbolandet peninsula, Norrköping Municipality. Its population swells in the summer, when the yacht people arrive to anchor up in the marina to shop for food. It is most famous for its archipelago — many small islands easily reached by boat from the harbour. During the summer season of 2007 an estimated 40,000 tourists visited Arkösund.
