Utö, Sweden

Utö is a small island in the East of Stockholm archipelago, known for its nature. Utö has the oldest iron-ore mines in Sweden. A landmark of Utö is its windmill, which is over 200 years old, and from which there is a good view of the bay Mysingen. It also houses a live fire exercise field. The name of the island, Utö, means "outer island" in Swedish.

Tyresta National Park

Tyresta National Park is a national park with a surrounding nature reserve in Sweden, located in Haninge and Tyresö municipalities in Stockholm County. The national park has an area of 19.7 km² (7.61 mi²), and the surrounding nature reserve 27 km² (10 mi²), so the total protected area is about 47 km² (18 mi²). In August 1999, about 10% of the national park area was consumed in a large fire.
