Lelång Lake

Lelång Lake is Swedish lake in Bengtsfors municipality in the province of Dalsland and Årjäng municipality in the province of Värmland. The lake is of an elongated shape and stretches from Lennartsfors in the north to Bengtsfors in the south, a stretch of approximately 40 km . The lake can be reached by three sets of locks. The one located at Lennartsfors connects it to Lake Foxen, the one at Gustavsfors to Lake Västra Silen and the one at Bengtsfors to Lake Bengtsbrohöljen.

Sillerud

Sillerud is a parish in Årjäng Municipality, western Värmland, and partly in Dalsland, Sweden, with a population of approx. 1.100. It is believed that Måns Andersson, an ancestor of the Bush family, was from Sillerud, because he named his farm in North America Silleryd. Place names with "-ryd" endings, however, are uncommon in Värmland but more common in South Sweden, particularly in Småland. Sill is the Swedish word for herring and rud/ryd means a small deforested area.

Dalsland

Dalsland is a Swedish traditional province, or landskap, situated in Götaland in southern Sweden. Lying to the west of Lake Vänern, it is bordered by Värmland to the north, Västergötland to the southeast, Bohuslän to the west, and Norway to the northwest. The province has a low population density of around 14 inhabitants/km² and just one town of significant size: Åmål. The total population numbers 50,527.

Årjäng Municipality

Årjäng Municipality (Årjängs kommun) is a municipality in Värmland County in west central Sweden, bordering Norway. Its seat is located in the town of Årjäng. A separate local government entity named Årjäng was created in 1941 when it was detached from Silbodal. In 1952 the two were reunited under the name of Årjäng. In 1971 Sillerud and Holmedal were amalgamated with Årjäng. In 1974 Töcksmark was added, expanding the municipality to its current size.
