Sense District
Sense District is one of the seven administrative district of the canton of Fribourg in Switzerland, and the only completely German-speaking one. It is named for the Sense River, which forms the majority of its eastern border with the canton of Bern.

Fribourg Cathedral
The Cathedral of St. Nicolas in Fribourg, built in the Gothic style, dominates the center of the medieval town of Fribourg. It is built on a rocky outcrop 50 metres above the river Sarine (Saane). The main body of the church was started in 1283 and completed by 1430. The tower was completed in 1490. It is 76 metres tall and houses 11 bells. It also features a rose window above the main portal with stained glass by Harrison Weltlich (1988).

BCF Arena
BCF Arena (formerly Patinoire Saint-Léonard) is an indoor sporting arena in Fribourg, Switzerland. Built in 1983, the capacity of the arena is 6,900 spectators and includes 2,300 seats after a reconstruction that took place in 2010. It is the home arena of the HC Fribourg-Gottéron ice hockey team.

Schiffenensee is an artificial lake formed by a barrage of the Saane/Sarine river in the canton of Fribourg, Switzerland. The barrages at Schiffenen were completed in 1963.
