Kafr Nabl

Kafr Nabl is a town administratively belonging to the Idlib Governorate and Ma'arrat al-Numan District in northwestern Syria. It is situated 735 meters above sea level. In the 2004 census by the Syrian Central Bureau of Statistics Kafr Nabl had a population of 15,455. Kafr Nabl is located on an ancient Byzantine dead city, and is surrounded by some of the most important Dead Cities, such as Serjilla, Shanshrah, and al-Bara.

Bourzey castle

Bourzey castle is called also Mirza castle, (Arabic قلعة ميرزا). It is located at the border of Syria coastal mountains and Ghab valley, 25 km away from Jeser Alshghur, at altitude 450 m. The inscriptions and mentioning of the castle relate it to the Byzantine era in 11-th century. Architecturally it has triangle shape, the western façade is 175 m, the eastern is 50 m. The southern and eastern façades are adjacent to deep gorges, but the western façade is the least steep.

Battle of Tremseh

The Battle of Tremseh was led by the Syrian Army against the Free Syrian Army in Tremseh, Syria, in the late hours of 12 July 2012 during the Syrian civil war leading to a reported death of dozens of rebels, and an unknown number of civilians.

Siege of Shaizar

The Siege of Shaizar took place from April 28 to May 21, 1138. The allied forces of the Byzantine Empire, Principality of Antioch and County of Edessa besieged Shaizar in Syria, the capital of the Munqidhite Emirate. The siege resulted in the Emir of Shaizar paying an indemnity and becoming the vassal of the Byzantine emperor.
