American School in Taichung

The American School in Taichung (AST) is an international school in Taichung City, Taiwan offering grades one to twelve. The school, founded in 1990, was previously known as Lincoln American School. It is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and hosts the annual Taiwan Model United Nations (TAIMUN) conference from schools all across Taiwan. One of the school's founders, Anna Lee, is a daughter of former President Lee Teng-hui.

Beitun District

Beitun District is the largest district of Taichung in Taiwan, the Republic of China. Located in the northern part of the city, it is a half mountainous, half urban area. Though Beitun District used to be considered part of the countryside, the new TaiYuan train station has urbanized it considerably. The highest point of Taichung City is located in Beitun, Douliu Hill (859 m).

Dongshi District

Dongshi District is a suburban district in eastern Taichung, Republic of China (Taiwan). A majority of the residents are of Hakka ethnicity, making it an enclave in an otherwise non-Hakka county. Its Hakka dialect is very distinct compared to the dialects of other counties.

Taichung Baseball Field

The Taichung Baseball Field (台中棒球場) is a multi-purpose stadium in Taichung, Taiwan. Built in 1935 during the Taiwan under Japanese rule era, this stadium has been repeatedly refurbished and currently can seat 8,500 people. This stadium has been the home of professional baseball teams such as Jungo Bears(1993–1995), Sinon Bears (first half 1996), and Sinon Bulls(second half 1996–present) of Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL), and Taichung Agan(1997–2002) of Taiwan Major League (TML).

Chaoyang University of Technology

Chaoyang University of Technology is located in Wufeng District of Taichung City, Taiwan. Founded in 1994. Originally named Chaoyang Institute of Technology. on August 1, 1997, Chaoyang Institute of Technology was designated by the Ministry of Education as a University of Technology, the school name was officially changed to Chaoyang University of Technology, was Taiwan's first private University of Technology.
